Today I met with my group from school to work on our project. We are doing this comp shop-thingy where we compare different shops, so we spent a couple of hours in shops in the area around Oxford Street/Regent Street. And I tell you, Oxford Street is a true nightmare. Especially on Saturday.

Is there anyone out there who actually likes Oxford Street? Please tell me why!!

• My campus is located in High Holborn
  

• My classes are on the 2nd and 3rd floor.
  

• When you pay as much as I do, the least they could do is to offer us both lifts AND stairs!:-)(This is supposed to be funny)
  

• No nasty toilets at High Holborn. 
  

• All floors have colorful carpets and doors. And a very good recycling program. 

• Have a seat whilst waiting for the lecturer. 

• The classroom we used during a ISHE seminar. Usually we don´t have this setup, I think this might be a
  discussing classroom, cause our teaching classrooms looks different.
  

• We have pink chairs!

• Up-to-date technical equipment. In the study area they´ll lend you a mac laptop.

Today was my first day at work. And it was so much fun! I did tell you that I´ve gotten an awesome job, right? Or maybe I didn´t. But have a guess and I´ll post the answer tomorrow. A: Jeg er VELDIG glad i musikk, og liker derfor mye forskjellig musikk også. Helst rolig musikk, gjerne fransk..Av artister kan jeg nevne Sivert Høyem, som forsåvidt også er min drømmemann. A: Dette forandrer seg hele tiden, men nå for tiden er det Denoto, Ella og Pia.
Hvordan pleier du huden og håret ditt?

Q: Hvorfor begynte du å blogge?

A: Nå er det så lenge siden at jeg ikke riktig helt husker. Men jeg regner med at det var for å dele meninger og få tilbakemeldinger, dele hva som inspirerte meg og bli inspirert selv!

Q: Hvilke områder i London anbefaler du?

A: Alt til sin anledning. Og jeg har ikke fått utforsket hele London ennå, men det kommer! Til nå foretrekker jeg Camden for å utforske mat, få inspirasjon, shopping av både nytt+vintage og en casual kveld på byen. Du kjeder deg ikke i Camden! Islington er hvor jeg bor og oppholder meg mest. Her finner du det meste av spiseplasser, frisører, butikker. Markedet i Camden Passage sammenlignes med Portobello, bare uten alle turistene. Det er som en liten by i en by. Covent Garden/Leicester Square når jeg skal gå ut, for her finner du både klubber, uteplasser og puber. Covent Garden skal visst være veldig bra for shopping også, men det er KAOS der på lørdager! Og ikke gjør samme feil som meg om det er kø til undergrunns-heisen, det er nemlig 15 etasjer opp… Brick Lane for vintageshopping og indisk mat. Carnaby Street er en koselig gågate med cafeer og små butikker. Shoreditch har også ganske bra uteliv. Bicester Village ligger riktignok litt utenfor London, men dette er en designer outlet village med sinnsyke priser. Det var litt i hvert fall!

Q: Er Spitalfields så bra som jeg hører?

A: Tenker du på området Spitalfields eller Spitalfields Market? Om du mener hele området vil jeg påstå at det er bedre enn både Portobello Market og Camden Market når det kommer til shopping, ja.

Q: Kan du ikke ta bilder av leiligheten du bor i?

A: Jo, jeg kan lage en egen post på dette.

Q:Hva du gjør på skolen?

A: Hehe, vel….Jeg har to fag denne termen, Buying+Merchandising og ISHE, Introduction to Higher Education. Skolen har nettopp startet, så hittil i Buying+Merchanding har vi gått gjennom rollene og har undervisning om ting som er relevante for termoppgavene våre. Vi har også 2-3 gruppeaktiviteter pr.time . I ISHE lærer vi om å referere riktig, nyttige medier osv.

Q: Anbefale noen butikker i London?

A: Jeg prøver å styre unna shopping på studentbudsjettet mitt, men dette er noen favoritter: American Apparel, French Connection, Selfridges, Office, Beyond Retro, H&M, Topshop(Styr unna den i Oxford Street, please. Greit den er stor, men du kommer ut igjen med høyt blodtrykk), Dover Street Market, Urban Outfitters. Men det jeg anbefaler er å gå rundt og kikke i småbutikker:-)

Q: Hva inspirerer deg?

A: Det er så mye, jeg finner inspirasjon i alt! Men nå skal jeg ikke høres ut som en klisje, så jeg sier film, musikk, blogger og Camden Market.

Q: Skal til London i slutten av november så jeg lurer på hvis du måtte velge (anbefalt); Camden eller Portobello market?

A: Helst begge, hvis du har anledning! På Portobello Market ville jeg dratt hvis jeg vil handle vintage klær, skinn, håndlagde smykker og ringer, og antikviteter. Du finner også bla. All Saints her. På Camden Market vile jeg dratt hvis jeg var interessert i vintage klær, internasjonal mat, typiske ´´syden-butikker´´ og nips. Her finner du også butikker som American Apparel, Aldo og H&M. Når det kommer til vintage shopping foretrekker jeg Portobello, men jeg foretrekker Camden om du vil oppleve litt av hvert. Har du tatt en titt på Brick Lane markedet, forresten?

Q: Hvor gammel syns du en jente må være for å bruke acne pistol boots ?

A: Nå er jo disse veldig enkle og greie, men jeg synes ikke noe om unge jenter som går med ´´hæler´´, så jeg sier 14 år.

Q: Hvorfor er prisen annerledes på Rocco Mini Duffel på Shopbop og Rocco laser-cut leather studded bag hos Net-A-Porter?

A: Min umiddelbare tanke var at skinnet på Rocco laser-cut må være dyrere enn Rocco Mini Duffel. Jeg tok en titt på AlexanderWang.com, og så at Rocco Mini Duffel er laget av lammeskinn og Rocco laser-cut er laget av kuskinn. Etter litt lesing på The Purse Forum virker det som om kuskinnet er tykkere og mer robust. Mens lammeskinnet er mykt og skjørt. Håper det svarte litt på spørsmålet ditt? :-)

You´ll find tame squirrels in parks all over London. I have heard that the reason is that squirrels are born without fear. These cuties lives in Caledonian Park, right next to my house. If you bring them food, you´ll probably be able to pet on as well. If you´re a turist coming to London, you´ll find tame squirrels in Hyde Park. Definitely something I´d do if I were going to London.

If National Geographics wants to hire me, I have a lot of time, as you might see.

I have noticed that I´ve gotten a lot of new readers since I moved to London. And I am so happy about that!! So I was wondering if you had any questions for me? This jumper from American Apparel cause it´s so freaking fierce. Couldn´t find any good close-up pictures on the web, but I´ll see if I can drop by AA and snap some. Gotta show you, cause it´s really, and then I mean REALLY, pretty!

Did you know that Marks&Spencer is the UK´s biggest clothing retailer? Me neither. But after hearing about it at a lecture, I thought I´d give it a shot. And I was really impressed! At first sight, in the store, you might find it a bit ´´for older women´´.The top I bought can be worn by girls my age, but I could also see my mum wearing it. It´s all about fitting it into your style. And the prices are good, I´d say between 25GBP-60GBP a piece.

I actually found a lot of pieces I´d love to have in my wardrobe. But I decided to go for this one, you can see the colors in the pictures above. I probably sat in the fitting room for 15 minutes trying to figure out which color to get, as I could only choose one. I definitely need some color in my wardrobe, so I bought it in grape.

Have you ever shopped at M&S?

Today I had to buy a new winter jacket. It has started to get really cold here in London, and I have been freezing like hell these last couple of days. Normally I´d say ´´YES!!I have to buy a new winter jacket´´, but now it´s more like ´´$!%&/(), do I have to buy a new jacket, maybe I can just wear an extra sweater´´ As I don´t get any support from Lånekassen, I don´t have to much money through the month. So the 50GBP I need to spend on a new jacket, is two weeks of food, a telephone bill or a one month traveling card.   It sucks being a student.

Well, back to the jacket. It´s from Bik Bok and I love the color, it´s not brown like it looks in the pictures, it´s a pink color, click HERE to take a look. Looks great with all the black I´m wearing.

Necklace bought at Camden Market.

Today was my first official day at London College of Fashion. I had induction last week, but the lectures didn´t start until today. We are 15 girls in my class, and this term I will have two hours of Merchandising+2 hours of Buying on Tuesdays, and two hours of ISHE(Introduction to Higher Education) seminar+ 1 hour of ISHE lecture on Thursdays. So I will be looking for a part time internship/job.

My campus is High Holborn, brand new building. The classrooms are so fresh and modern with a gigantic screen at the front and 2/3 smaller screens around the room(as the lecturers use PowerPoint), comfortable chairs and huge tables. And of course, AC! Everything at the campus just looks great. Since I want to become a buyer, I found the Buying lecture more interesting than Merchandising, which is more about the numbers. We discussed what are the responsibilities of a buyer, what key skills are required and generally discussed the role of the buyer and the merchandiser. When the day was over I so knew I had made the right choice about my course and going to London College of Fashion. I literally can´t wait for Thursday to come.

I have been feeling really sick these last couple of days. But when I woke up to 20C and sunshine I dragged myself out of bed and headed off to Camden Market. What´s better than nice weather and lots of inspiration when you´re not feeling too well?
